Knowledge Exchange (D3.1)

Task leader: Dr Britta Schaffelke, CRC Reef.

Task associate: Ms Suzie Davies, Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.

This project will deliver issue papers and/or expert opinion on subjects relevant to CRC Reef's strategic goals, and for which it can draw together relevant information and/ or expertise. The outputs can be achieved by independent reviews or reports by the task team in consultation with others, or through formal workshops or working groups. Priorities will be issues that span across CRC Reef projects or are current issues but presently not subject of CRC Reef research projects.

Outputs from this task can be information papers to policy makers, reviews and synthesis of current knowledge on topical issues, material for the general public or specific parties within CRC Reef, and recommendations for further research.
This task works in close collaboration with the tasks under project D4 (Exploring Reef Futures) to support knowledge exchange using web-based tools.
In collaboration with the Communication Program this task also contributes to the content of the CRC Reef website and “Current State of Knowledge” brochure series.
