To value-add to the Queensland Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries (DPI&F's) state-wide Long-Term Monitoring Program
for key fisheries resources to capture maximum benefit for species within
the World Heritage Area through:

To identify seasonal and spatial patterns in species composition
of inshore shark populations in the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage
Area (GBRWHA) and assess vulnerability of sharks to gill netting.

To determine patterns of habitat utilisation and recruitment of barramundi
and mud crabs in the GBRWHA.
- To assess the role of barramundi and mud crabs as indicators of ecosystem
health.
