Reef Fish Bycatch Processing (B4.28)

Since the Coral Reef Fin Fish Management Plan was introduced in 2003, the long-term monitoring program run by the Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries (DPI&F) has been extended to deliver additional data about coral reef fin fish.

CRC Reef will provide biological data on priority species in the reef line fishery from samples that are already held by CRC Reef. This data will be used by the DPI&F for resource assessment and fisheries management.
