Swim in supervised areas where Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ)
Lifesavers and Lifeguards monitor the presence of dangerous jellyfish.
The mesh used in stinger-resistant nets in north Queensland is fine
enough to keep out Chironex fleckeri but may allow Irukandji
jellyfish Carukia barnesi to pass through. A lycra body
suit can help protect against stings.
