The CRC Reef Research Centre completed its contract with the Commonwealth Government in 2006 after 13 years. The Centre decided in May 2006 that the successor organisation for handling its contracts and assets would be the Reef and Rainforest Research Centre or the RRRC. The RRRC began operations in 2006 and is now building up its website to ensure the results of the CRC Reef remain available via the internet. This site is now 'static' and scientific products will be maintained at this site or migrated to the new site over time.
